Describe the observation
Identify the affected indicator, remote unit, or interface from the available documentation. State whether the fault is continuous and when it was first observed. Note any associated alarms reported by the responsible officer.
Provide the existing configuration record
Where a system drawing or previous report exists, identify it in the request. Transfer detailed drawings only through an agreed channel. Do not open hardware or enter protected menus to obtain configuration data.
Agree the technical and authority scope
Clarify whether the task is diagnosis, replacement, commissioning support, or verification connected to a survey. Establish any required approval or witness arrangements before planning tests that affect operational alarms.
