Record the exact message and the affected display or function. Note whether the symptom was continuous or occurred at a known time. Do not change operating settings merely to generate a screenshot.
Explain the maintenance window
State whether the vessel is alongside and whether any agreed work at height, restricted access, or isolation arrangements would be needed. These arrangements must be authorized by the responsible vessel and port personnel.
Avoid hazardous investigation
Do not open units, approach transmitting antennas, access rotating machinery, or bypass interlocks. The service scope should identify authorized isolation, tools, test methods, and acceptance criteria before technical work begins.
